Build to Your Pack — or Adapt What the Cluster Already Makes
There are two honest ways to start a men's leather shoe program: bring a complete specification and build to it, or begin from platforms the cluster already runs and change what matters to your market. Y&F Leather organizes both.
The two paths
OEM and ODM, defined the way buyers use the terms
OEM — build to your tech pack. The last, the pattern, the materials and the branding all follow your files. You own the specification; the factory works to it. Sampling confirms what the pack describes, and the counter sample and PP sample become the binding references for bulk. This is the route for brands with established lines, existing lasts and in-house design.
ODM — adapt what the cluster already makes. The Yongjia cluster runs a deep platform of existing designs and lasts in current production. On this route you select a base last from that platform, then change material, color and details to fit your market — hide grade from the codes on this site, a different construction, your logo. Development time is shorter because the platform is proven; the changes are documented in a specification that becomes yours for the program.
Both routes are quoted the same way: material grade by code, construction by name, branding by method — so the two quotes, or two suppliers' quotes, stay comparable.

What you hold at the end of development
A program is only as good as its paper. Every OEM or ODM program closes development with a documented set, so the next order — or a new supplier conversation — starts from facts rather than memory.

Where your designs stand
Your designs and branding remain yours. Files you provide are used only for your program. Cluster base designs are licensed to your program for its term — they are not resold as other buyers' samples, and what was developed to your specification is not quoted to your competitors.
