Y&F Leather is a supply chain organizer inside the Yongjia men's shoe cluster in Wenzhou, China — one vetted partner network, one standard, one process, one point of contact. Below is what that means in practice, including what we will not do.
What we are
We are not a single factory — and we say so on purpose.
Y&F Leather is not a plant with a sales team in front of it. We are an organizer based in Oubei, Yongjia County — the production base described on our From the Source page — that selects, manages and inspects partner factories on a buyer's behalf and carries responsibility for the result.
Men's leather footwear is not one product: a Goodyear-welted dress boot, a Blake-stitched oxford and a cemented suede loafer each belong in different hands, and a single factory doing everything will do some of it badly. An organizer puts each style where it is made well and holds the program together.
The buyer's side
One desk is responsible for the outcome — factory-level sourcing without factory-level management work.
Supplier selection & vetting
Partner lines are vetted for the styles they actually run — construction capability, material handling, consistency — before any buyer order goes to them.
Program management
Briefs, specifications, sampling calendars and production slots run as one program across factories, so dates and versions do not drift.
Resident QC
Inspectors work inside partner factories during production — reports reach you, with photographs, before shipment.
Consolidated export
Multi-factory programs leave as one shipment with one document set — one customs file instead of three.

A factory matched to the style
Each style goes to the partner line that runs it well, not to whichever plant carries our nameplate. The match is judged on construction evidence from sampling.
Capacity beyond one plant
A pilot and a re-order do not wait in one queue. When a program grows, volume moves across the vetted network under the same standard.
One QC standard across factories
Every partner works to the same specification, inspection stages and reporting format — quality does not depend on which plant cut the leather. The chain is on the Quality & Compliance page.

How a program runs
From brief to consolidated shipment
The default path for an OEM or ODM program; on repeat orders the middle steps compress.

Program brief
You send a tech pack, a reference pair, or a target price and market; the desk replies with what is missing from the brief.

Material & factory proposal
The proposal names a hide grade, thickness and construction method, the partner line matched to them, and an indicative FOB range.

Counter sample
A sample is made to the agreed specification. Fit, finish and material are corrected here, where a change is still cheap.

PP sample & deposit
The pre-production sample freezes the standard. Your deposit confirms it and books the production slot.

Production with resident QC
Inspections run through cutting, stitching, lasting and finishing, ending in final random inspection to the agreed acceptance level.

Consolidated shipment
Goods are packed to spec, documents prepared, and multi-line programs leave as one shipment with one document set.

Limits, stated up front
What we will not do
No website can fully establish the trust this model asks for. Earning it starts with what we refuse to do — here and anywhere else on this site.
- We will not present a partner factory as our own. The “not a single factory” statement is not a disclaimer — it is the operating model. Partner lines are identified during the discussion stage.
- We will not display certification badges we have not verified. Compliance is documented per order — inspection reports and destination-market test reports — not decorated onto a page. See Quality & Compliance.
- We will not quote one price across hide grades. A full-grain boot and a split-suede boot are different products with different costs; every quotation names its grade, per the Leather Guide.
